FAQ
Common pricing questions
A context query is a single call to the Strattum API that requests data from one or more connected sources. Batch requests count as one query per source connector addressed in the request. Queries that are denied at the policy layer still count toward your monthly total because the policy evaluation itself consumes compute. Queries that fail due to connector errors do not count.
Yes. Upgrading takes effect immediately; your billing is prorated for the remainder of the month. Downgrading takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle to avoid disrupting active connector configurations. When downgrading from Team to Starter, you will need to deactivate all but 2 connectors before the cycle end or the downgrade is held until you do.
No. Strattum does not store enterprise data. Connectors execute queries in your environment and return scoped results to the requesting agent. The audit event store records metadata about each query (agent ID, scope, policy rule, resolution status) but does not persist the data content returned. Source credentials are stored in the connector vault, which is an isolated secrets store and not accessible through the query API.
Custom connectors built with the Strattum connector SDK are available on Team and Enterprise tiers. On Team, custom connectors count against your connector limit (10 total, including pre-built and custom). On Enterprise, there is no connector limit. The SDK itself is free to use; custom connectors are not separately licensed. Enterprise customers who need dedicated SDK engineering support or a custom connector built by Strattum should contact our team to discuss scope.
The compliance documentation package on Enterprise includes: architecture overview suitable for internal security reviews, data flow diagrams with Strattum's role in the data path documented, connector vault security overview, and our standard access review response template. We do not provide certifications at this stage, but the documentation package is structured to support your own SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliance work. Contact our team for the exact document set.
